The Ninth Edition of the Journal of Clinical Apheresis (JCA) Special Issue, published by the American Society for Apheresis (ASFA), provides updated guidelines on the use of therapeutic apheresis (TA) in treating human diseases. The edition incorporates a systematic review and evidence-based grading to assess and categorize TA’s use across various medical conditions. Maintaining the fact sheet format introduced in 2007, this edition includes 91 fact sheets covering 166 indications, with additions such as seven new fact sheets, nine new indications, and eight category updates for existing ones. It aims to serve as a comprehensive reference for healthcare providers on TA’s evidence-based applications.
